Mary-Beth Gardner, FNP, CNM

 

Mary-Beth has practiced as an Family Nurse Practitioner since 1986, having completed her Masters of Science at Georgia State University. For her first fifteen years in Alaska, Mary-Beth practiced primarily in rural and remote clinics and often as the only health-care provider in the community. In addition to general family practice and trauma care, her practicee has included home, birth center, and hospital births.

Prior to coming to Alaska, Mary-Beth's academic experiences included doctoral studies at Rice University in Houston, Texas while serving on the faculty at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston's undergraduate nursing and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner programs. Currently, Mary-Beth practices in Fairbanks. She has privileges at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. She is also the Regional Clinical Coordinator for the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing. Mary-Beth lives in Fairbanks with her husband, Craig and daughter, Sawyer.
